Traditional korea house?

in the drama with personal taste starring lee min ho (boys over flowers), he stay at a traditional korean home with the guy. where is that in seoul? i also see alot of drama and movie are film there. it is very old home, with narrow street and sometimes hilly street. where is that in seoul, what is the name of that neighborhood? how far is it from central seoul like myeon dong? is it considered a slump area or a rich area? does those houses have running electricity and hot water?
