2000 Grand Am SE sometimes stalling uphill on the highway?

the check engine light or code is probably not your problem,regardless it needs to be taken care of,and normally a stall on a hill is in fuel delivery,if the filter was installed in the right direction,then have your pump pressure checked,it could be low.
