How can you train for tour de france?
While an exercise bike can make you fit, it won't make you a cyclist. For a sponsor to be interested in you, you have to show some results in actual races. Cycling in a race is about knowing how to handle your bike in difficult conditions, on winding mountain downhills, on slippery roads, in all kinds of weather conditions. Riders in the Tour de France are all members of professional racing teams that have many sponsors. All the riders have at least 10 year of racing experience and they ride tens of thousands of kilometers every year. Each team can have 30 or more riders from which only 9 are selected for inclusion in the Tour. The only way to find out if you have to ability is to find a way to buy a bike and start racing as an amateur. With some experience, you may be chosen to join an amateur racing team. Once you have shown some results, some minor professional teams may hire you to ride for them. Becoming a top professional requires a huge commitment in time and money at first. The first step is to become a real cyclist. Pedaling an exercise bike does not make you a cyclist, you have to learn how to ride on the road at a race pace in race conditions.
