1997 lincoln town car climate control problem?

have a 97 lincoln town car with digital dash and message center. it has a button to change it from mph to kph and it also changes it from celceus to ferenhight. someone was playing with the heater or the message center. now the temperature seems to stay in ferenhight even when the speed is put on kilometers. was wondering if there was a setting that changes it to do that or did they burn something out.
