My 1996 sea doo xp wont start!?!?

I have a 1996 sea doo xp. I just changes the battery and spark plugs and put in a full tank of gas. When i put the key in it beaps once and on the gauges it shows 4 red lights and then the lights go out. I hit the start button again has one beap and 4 red lights on the gauges and wont start. I tried chocking and that didnt help. Can anyone help me please. thanks!!
