This question is in response to my last question. I found out that my husband was texting a female friend of his that he's known years before meeting me. They never dated but he told he that he found he attractive but he's married now. He got mad at me for snooping through his phone. One of the people who responded told me that he should have came right out and told me he was was texting this girl. That immediately sparked another question. If you are texting someone of the opposite sex even though you are in a relationship would you just come out and tell your partner? I mean really, did I expect my husband to tell me he was texting this girl just to keep everything above board. The old saying is that what you don't know won't hurt you but eventually what's done in the dark does come to light. Is it wrong to expect your mate to tell you who they are texting and what they are texting about? I don't think I'm to that point in my life where I tell him everyone I text so why would I expect him to tell me who he was texting and what they said?

1999 Mazda Millenia Fuel Problems?

My car was giving me trouble when i bought it, when i drove it and slowed down to a stop and let it idle it would go dead. It did this for a while and the check engine light started flashing. I got someone to run a computer check on it and said my engine was mis-firing. Looked at everything on my engine and noticed the air intake hose was held together by electrical tape. I replaced it, and cranked it up and it ran fine for a little bit. Drove it down the road into a drive-way and came to a complete stop and it didn't die or idle low or anything, then all of the sudden when i hit the accelerator and the car died. So I tried to crank it and it wouldn't start, it would turn over just fine but nothing else. Took the spark plugs out and they were corroded real bad so i sanded them. Then the car would crank, but it would die if you let off the gas. So i had to get my car pulled home, changed the spark plugs and now it cranks fine, but i'm worried there is something else wrong with it. I would hate to drive it down the road and it all happen again. Any ideas if there could be anything else wrong with it?

Why am I getting worse at running?

I started running 2 years ago, nothing serious. just 1 to 2 miles a day. Then a year ago I decided I wanted to do some 5k races. I did 2 and did them in 28 min and 27 min which is not bad considering they were hilly and I am not an experienced runner. Now I just did a 5k and did it in 30 min and could barely catch my breath. Is this normal to sometimes hit plateaus and have bad runs? Should I get discouraged and quit?

What is meant by "Ground Speed" on the GPS on International Flight Entertainment systems?

I fly internationally for leisure more than most and am one of those unlucky ones that can't sleep on the flight. I quite often have the television screen when I want to try and rest set to the GPS map showing where in the world we are flying above, how many more hours I need to wish my life away for etc until the plane lands and on that one of the terms it uses is ground speed. It sometimes says ground speed 300miles p/h (or another number of miles or kilometres per hour) and yet we are flying in the air and not on the ground. Can anyone explain exactly what this "ground speed" refers to on a flight? Is it the speed the car would need to travel at in order to keep up with where the plane is flying directly above despite mountain roads etc making travel time a lot slower on the ground? Is it how fast we are travelling between one point on the map and a directly straight line to the other point despite mountains etc being below? What exactly is it?

I am a long distance runner, I run on average1.30 min on hilly terrain. I am just maintaining my weight though. A few years ago I gained weight like crazy due to medication for a health problem, I no longer needed it a few years ago, initially I lost 7 kgs, but I can't find a way to drop the remaining kgs, I have been struggling for years, I work outdoors in high energy environments, plus I run. My diet is not rich in fatty foods, I occasionally add salt to my cooking and Im a make it from scratch kind of person. I rarely eat breads and pastas and try to eat a balanced diet. What can I do? Would it be wise to cut carbs completely then re-introduce and maintain once I'm at a comfortable weight?

How Often To Jump A Young Horse?

I would get her used to it first and slowly start working her up to more and more jumping. Remember, you know your horse best and you should be able to judge how much she can take (without overdoing it) if you can train her to jump! This requires weeks of building up muscles and if you have already been doing that (as it seems you have, with riding and jumping 4 times a week) who am I to tell you what to do? A fit horse can jump about 4 hrs a week, not including ANY other riding (warming up, trails, flatwork, & so on). I think what you are doing now is great, as long as you think your horse is having a fun, non~ stressful, learning environment, and if you are happy with how she is doing. Remember also, She is young. She will get bored easily. You need to incorporate things that are fun for her into your workout too, making it fun for you AND your horse ~ which you are probably doing, I just need to put that in there in case :) !

Thinner tires will lead to a rougher, bumpier, less comfortable ride. I'd suggest a 700x32, something like the Bontrager Lite Hard Case - I rode them for years on my CX bike on pavement and never had a flat. Experiment with tire pressure, too......just because a tire can take up to 110 psi doesnt mean you have to pump them all the way up for the best ride. I usually rode mine at 70-80 psi.

Hi, my dog is a Cavalier King Charles. He's four years old and was the runt of the litter and not the smartest of the bunch, although very loved. When we first got him we kept him in a crate per instructions and consistently tried to train him to stop barking and whimpering as well as potty train him. He has done neither no matter what we do or how hard we try. He has not been neutered because we were thinking of breeding him. He doesn't get walked very much because we are a busy family and live in a very hilly hard to walk area. We let him out in our yard many times a day. He is confined to about two rooms in the house now because we can't let him roam or he will pee. He pees outside but then once he is inside he will immediately pee again. We are not sure what to do, were thinking about either giving him back to the breeder or neutering him to see if it helps if this doesn't get resolved soon. Maybe you could try to do 4 or 5 600m runs (if your training with a group) If your training alone, I'd suggest you to vary your speed work routines. Not very clever to do the same stuff every week. I think your 10k run is okay since your not doing any longer distances. Oh yea, and eat healthy too. That's really important. When I used to eat some unwanted junk, my 10k timings were in the low 40s. I cut out all the unwanted calories from my diet at the start of new year. And I ran a 37:52 10k on February. Just eat until your satisfied. Not more.

1992 Dodge Dakota missing when you kick it down?

I have a 1992 Dodge Dakota with a 318 motor in it. Sometimes, when you go to kick it down, it'll start to really miss and spit and spatter, and wont go over 3,000 rpms because it will hesitate so bad. I have replaced the spark plugs twice, the wires, and the coil just above the power steering pump. It gets really annoying when you try to pass someone, and you have to keep the rpms below 3,000. When you kick it into 3rd gear, it'll actually slow down because it misses so bad. I was thinking it might be the fuel pump, but i dont want to spend $180 for nothing. If you have any ideas, please let me know. Thanks.

Okay, I am a 20 years old female, and last May I was run over by an old lady in her Taurus. Like my left leg felt almost not as responsive as my right leg. I ignored it, and after a half hour went home and went to bed. Today, I woke up to an incredibly sore left leg. The area it hurts now, was precisely the area my phone was in when it got crushed into my hip. It's been making me limp all day, and now I'm wondering if I should try physical therapy, but worried it might be too late.

I have a 1996 sea doo xp. I just changes the battery and spark plugs and put in a full tank of gas. When i put the key in it beaps once and on the gauges it shows 4 red lights and then the lights go out. I hit the start button again has one beap and 4 red lights on the gauges and wont start. How should you train for a hilly and muddy trail run when you are in your 50's and in pretty good shape?

If by "in pretty good shape" you mean pretty good shape to run 7 miles, then you should be fine, just train for running hills the same size as the ones you will encounter and if you can run in the mud, that will help. If you mean pretty good cardiovascular shape, it will be more difficult as your leg muscles may not be used to the effort and that will put a strain on your cardiovascular system even if you are in pretty good shape. If you haven't been doing any cardiovascular conditioning then I would suggest first running 30 minutes a day, 4-6 times a week, walking as necessary. When you get to a point you don't have to walk, then one of the runs should be extended by 5 minutes a week until you are running an hour at least, and hour and a half would be better, so we are talking 6-12 weeks. After that you will be able to run 7 miles and you should look for conditions that mimic the course (hilly and muddy) to best prepare. Not necessarily every day, once a week is fine. Good luck!

Whats wrong with me, I'm scared?

Ok so today and yesterday I went tramping/hiking. At one point where it was really hilly, I got really sweaty and it reached a point where I found it so difficult to breathe, no air was coming into my lungs, I couldnt breathe. And the sweat from my face was pouring down my face, and I kind of fell down (not really faint)and my hands started shaking. That happened like 3 times during the tramp. I don't understand what it means. I was like the second unfit person in my group (back of the line while tramping), no one was sweating or breathing as heavily as I was. I sweat alot generally, even while taking small walks. But I have never fallen down shaking. I'm not overweight or skinny. But I dont understand why I breathe so heavily, and SWEAT ALOT. someone gave me sugary drink, and I felt better. Recently I havebeen getting tired so easily, my parents always say I'm really weak, and now I believe that too, its getting scary. what do you think is up with me?

Adrenal Insufficency-Addisons Disease, now very sick!?

I was diagnosed with Adrenal insufficency two months ago and was put on 40mg of Cortisol daily. I was doing great until two days ago when I decided to go on a 2 mile walk with a friend, in the country. It was very hilly and quite a workout. That night I started feeling really bad. The next morning I woke up worse. I had a severe headache, muscle cramps so bad I couldn't move much, diarreha and felt very cold all day. Today has been even worse. I feel crampy (both muscles and stomach),shaky, extremley weak (to the point where I have barely moved all day), so very tired despite plenty of "resting" and sleep, and oddly disconnected from everything going on around me. I found it difficult to even have a phone conversation. My endocronologist is out of the office until monday and I don't know if my symptoms warrant an ER visit. Maybe I just overdid it? Could it be related to my Addison's? What can I try to feel better? Safe to wait till Monday?

It takes a while to get use to the saddle just make sure that it is at the correct height and tilt. Cycling shorts will help a lot. You want to do an easy 10 min warm up ride and the start spinning at 70-90 rpn's all the time in a gear that is easy. Pedaling slow and mashing on the pedals is hard on the legs. You don't need anything except water on rides less then 90 min. A protein shake after a hard ride will help build muscles. Cycling is a cardiovascular exercise that is great for your heart and lungs, It will tone your legs and butt but they will never get big. You want to lose weight eat less it's very hard to out ride a bad diet. If you plan a long ride load up on carbs the day before so you body has a good supply of glycogen. Take along an apple and banana and some Good & Plenty to much on as you ride.

I've ran track since 7th grade (I now will be a sophmore in highschool). I've always been more of a sprinter/short distance guy. Your battery must measure more than 9.6 Volts across the battery terminals WHILE the engine is being cranked over in order to power the computer, fuel pump, sensors etc. If your battery is over 4 or 5 years old, you need a new one regardless of any other reason your engine won't start. Your battery cables need to be disconnected and cleaned inside the metal contacts with a battery wire brush when you install the new battery.

Sometimes even when you have everything you mentioned, the gas isn't being drawn in. I would try getting access to the carb air horn and squirt in some gas. If that gets it to fire, your choke is not working properly. You might also have some blockage in the carb itself.........get some spray carb cleaner. Personally, if it fired after squirting in some gas but was still hard to start, I would pull the carb and clean it. Use a paper clip to clean out the orifices.

Weird health incident today- whats wrong with me?

Ok so today and yesterday I went tramping/hiking. At one point where it was really hilly, I got really sweaty and it reached a point where I found it so difficult to breathe, no air was coming into my lungs, I couldnt breathe. And the sweat from my face was pouring down my face, and I kind of fell down (not really faint)and my hands started shaking. That happened like 3 times during the tramp. I don't understand what it means. I was like the second unfit person in my group (back of the line while tramping), no one was sweating or breathing as heavily as I was. I sweat alot generally, even while taking small walks. But I have never fallen down shaking. I'm not overweight or skinny. But I dont understand why I breathe so heavily, and SWEAT ALOT. someone gave me sugary drink, and I felt better. Recently I havebeen getting tired so easily, my parents always say I'm really weak, and now I believe that too, its getting scary. what do you think is up with me?

Crown Vic/Grand Marquis gas mileage?

Narrowed my search to an Impala or a CV/GM. I owned a 1990 Grand Marquis Wagon that got about 26mpg on the highway, but I don't remember what I got in the city (odometer and trip-meter both broke). But I am looking into a 2002-2004 Crown Vic or Mercury equivalent, and have read they STILL get good gas mileage on the highway (25+ on flat highways at 65+mph). Let's take a look into my daily life: My two brothers may as well abuse me. I get angry easily. I can get very violent very fast (One time my girl scout leader took my phone away from me because my friend was looking at my wallpaper. I was so angry I ripped up four paper plated that were on top of each other and started clawing at my arm because I couldn't get my anger out without damaging something and there was nothing else there.). Today I was at a park with a few of my friends and there were a few guys from my school and grade there too. Me and two other friends where going over to go see it and the person who found it dropped it down the hill by accident. I was the closet so I was going to go get it but it was in a mud puddle. Then out of the blue a basketball comes and lands in the mud puddle and gets it all over me. In my hair, on my shirt, my arm, my leg, everywhere. So I went home by myself, took a shower, had half a slice of pizza, and slept until about half an hour ago. Now I fell... empty. Like I'm not here. When I was younger I had a really hard time finding friends. I still kind of do. I think I have trust issues too because I have a really hard time believing people. Problem starting F150...what gives?

have a 94 f150 5.0 dual tank pickup. truck won't start. I am getting spark and I checked the schrader valve at the injectors and gas is present....the battery works and yet all it does is crank, not turn over. what would cause this???? the only thing I could come up with was that perhaps the TFI was bad but I didn't have a chance to test it. any thoughts?

1981 VW vanagon turns over but gives no effort to start. whats the problem?

Ive been working on this vanagon for about 3 months now. When i parked it, it was running nicely. it started right up after approximately 4 revolutions of the motor. idled fine. its been 2 months since i started it up and when i turned the motor over it will not even attempt to run. The motor is getting fuel, and spark. the injectors are spraying fuel into the block. im at a loss. i dont know what the problem could be. i was hoping to have a loss of spark or fuel because that would have made it an apparent fix. pleas help me get this beauty back on the road.

Alright, if you are doing it for training purposes, I would wear the board shorts. It cause a lot of "drag" which makes your muscles work harder and increases your endurance. Even competitve swimmers wear "drag suits" (a baggy type of suit) over top of their speedo when they train. If you are in a race though, it would be best to go with the speedo only to reduce the drag and lower you times.

Noisy lifters after multiple ending head removals can cause clogged oil pump?

At one point on my 2000 Chev Monte Carlo, we discovered a cross threaded spark plug. Mechanic removed enging head to remove, prep hole for net plug hole. Then my lifters were noisy life never before. Take it back, the put new head on, and 6 lifters on the one side. Those lifters were installed 2 days after the head was removed because they had gotten the wrong ones. They had to restart the oil soak time. After thats ordeal was done, it was still noisy. I go back, and get another new head, and 12 new lifters (6 ea. side). That's 3 days of repais, and pick the car up and it's still noisy! Going into the engine that many times, clog the oil pump filter? Can that be why oil is not getting up to the top as how it sounds? My best friend and I...?

Input is 120v, Output is 9v. Someone was running across the room and snapped the cord in half. I could probably strip the plastic insulation and twist the wires back together. It snapped close to where the "black box" is. The black box part plugs directly into the wall. I was trying to strip the plastic part off, when I saw a spark when I exposed the wires. So I'm assuming there is still a charge inside the "black box". So, I left it alone. Is this not a safe thing to do? Should I assume there is still a lot of electricity inside of it? Drove my car through water and wont start?

Drove my car through what didn't look like that deep of a puddle apparently it was, my car died almost all the way through, it's an 01 chrysler sebring. That water wasn't that deep possibly to the bottom of my door? I was a dumb *** and tried to restart it in the water. I pushed it out onto dry ground. Tried to crank it and it sounded like it was trying to fire, making that initial turning over noise. I pulled the air filter ( not the spark plugs yet seeing how i had no tools at the moment). Eventually it just started tapping really fast when i tried to crank it, sounded more electrical plus the lights flashed in the car everytime the tapping noise occured. Had it towed to my house and this am i tried to crank it and it made the tapping noise, i turned the key to battery mode where electronics come on let it sit for a min and tried to crank it which made it try to crank without the tapping noise, it did sound like my batter way dying at that moment in time though. If i let it dry out a bit longer and hook some jumper cables up to it is it savable without anymore work? I wasn't in that deep of water and my water intake is RIGHT under the hood so i dno't know what happened.

Yesterday i ran about 16 miles of hilly terrain with at least 2000ft climb just wondering if its normal to be hungry the next day even though you are being sedentry.
