Is this just flirting?

I don';t really think this is flirty and if it is, it is the worst case of flirting i have heard of lol. Maybe it was just a mistake and if he WAS flirting maybe he just mean't to throw the ball at your butt or beside you to scare you. Who knows, i doubt he was being a jerk though since he kept saying he was sorry.
